Jean was born in China. She began her interests in drawing and painting in her childhood. After moving to Hong Kong, she studied fine art, took private lessons from a teacher Chow Kun-li, who was influenced by John Singer Sargent. Jean worked as a watercolor artist for over 15 years in a publishing company. She has done illustrations for children’s books and flashcards for teaching materials. After she moved to Canada, she continued her study in fine art and graduated from OCAD [Ontario College of Art and Design]. Presently, she is a Signature Member of Toronto Watercolour Society, a member of Bayview Watercolour Society, and the Markham Group of Artists. Jean’s interests are drawing, watercolor, and oil painting. She is especially in figure and portrait paintings. Jean has participated in some Juried Exhibitions and some of her paintings have been purchased. |
